We spent there just one day but we were not so satisfied. In the info pack it's written that the reception is open 24h and the check in hours are from 13.00-23.00. Unfortunately none of them was true. We arrived at 20:55 and the girl at the reception was up to leave saying that if we were late 10 more minutes she would have gone. Also we booked 4 bed female room but we slept with 2 more men. The toilets were disgusting at the one part of the building but the location was really good.

Definitely recommended! Very nice place with amazingly friendly staff! Good location. Clean and nice shared kitchen and bathroom. My room was excellent with comfortable bed. Thank you!

The hostel is well located, and the facilities/rooms were clean. However, the wifi only worked in half of the rooms, the "hot" water was warm at best, and some of the staff were a bit rude and unhelpful. Overall our stay there was fine, and for the price, it was hard to beat.

Hostel is very well located, 2 minutes from metro station, close to good bars and cafes ( for Starbucks lovers it is just around the corner). Our room was clean, staff was very helpful, girls on reception desk spoke good English. At night it is a bit noisy ( hostel is located next to few bars), also in our room only one plug socket was working. Using bathroom was a horrible experience, it is coeducational, no locks in showers so I was constanly bumping on guys. Overall it's a nice hostel for a short stay.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location, very close to the main metro station and a lot of bars and restaurants (the food is so cheap around the corner). However it meant that we hardly slept as all you could hear were the bars right outside your window... and there was no air con so the heat was unbearable at night. Shared mixed showers, not so much a problem but a little privacy would be nice. One side of the hostel doesn't have a kitchen which is a bit of a shame. Would stay again

We stayed in a private twin and the room itself was very clean and had lots of space. There was a TV in the room which we used to watched some tennis. The communal area was pretty big with a decent amount of amenities and again very clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was very good, being on the 'Pest' side it was close to the Ruin Bars and also the 'Fashion Street' set of restaurants so lots to chose from. It is located on a busy road and had a bar's outdoor area straight underneath us, so was noisy - would advise taking ear plugs! Being very hot we couldn't really close the window either to block some of the noise. A fan in the room might have helped this!
Very easy to access from the main station and close to underground stops, Deák Ferenc tér being the closest.
You had to pay to use towels (only a small charge) but we had bought our own so didn't bother.
The shared bathroom was kept very clean but the showers are right next to each other and although separate 'booths' there are not separate cubicles, just something to bare in mind. The bathroom was never busy at any time, either of us went to use it.
Good wifi throughout the hostel.

The hostel in in a good location - relativelc central but also easily reachable from the central station. Very close to good bars and nightlife as well (although this was not a party hostel). Our room was very clean and looked a bit like a hotel room! Communal showers and toilets were adequate - can't really complain. Good security and the girls on the reception desk spoke good English and were very helpful. The kitchen was clean. Good Wi-Fi throughout the hostel and one working computer in the kitchen. However, due to the proximity to nearby bars it got a bit noisy at night time (no problem if you brought earplugs but a potential problem without). Secondly the TV in our room was broken and we only had three plug sockets between four, one of which was broken. Not many sockets in the communal kitchen area. Can't remember breakfast being available. Not the cheapest hostel in Budapest but we were happy during our stay.

After a night of hostel mishaps and having to stay in a hotel, we were so thankful to find Absolut hostel on the following day. We approached the hostel without pre-booking or phoning and the staff were wonderful and helpful. We were shown to a twin room, exceptionally clean, with a table and a view over a square. The owner of the hostel, who we unfortunately never asked for her name, was so wonderful we could not fault her humble hospitality and adhering to any queries we had!
Although the hostel was in the centre of where the bars and clubs are we were never kept awake nor heard much noise from outside. For £10 a night it was great value for money, an ideal location and the staff were there 24 hours and on hand to offer advice and any help we needed.
On the morning of departure they organised an airport shuttle to pick us up and the lovely owner even checked in on us to make sure we were awake and wish us goodbye!
CCTV makes you feel safe, 24 hour reception and keys and dongles to gain access to sections of the hostel!
We loved it!
Highly recommend staying there again!
